Halkbank stormed past Galatasaray HDI Sigorta at the closing of the seventh round of the 2021/22 Turkish Men’s Volleyball Championship.
Halkbank broke the resistance of Galatasaray in the big match of the seventh round of the 2021/22 AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi easier than predicted – in straight sets. Far more was expected from a team that previously beat powerhouses such as Arkas Spor and Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta. On the other hand, with this confident win, Halkbank remained the only unbeaten side in the competition, reaching 7-0.
Cuban Fernando Hernández tallied 11 points for the club from Ankara. Canadian Grahan Vigrass made four blocks and Volkan Döne 90% reception (10 digs, 50% perfect).
