And these beliefs affect the equality of women. However I don’t believe what is being done to Ghoncheh is fair or just. It is an act of discrimination to prohibit women from attending the same sporting events as men. But it is cruelty to jail someone for their beliefs, and torture to keep them in solitary confinement. I hope the FIVB is as harsh in their sanctions as possible until Ghoncheh is freed” says Becky for our website!
