Holt (No. 17)
Shocking news are coming from the USA. According to usatoday.com, Maxwell Holt tested positive for doping, as a small amount of meldonium was found in his body on June 10! However, the US Anti-Doping Agency decided that Holt won’t be suspended as the player was not aware of using the illegal substance.
Allegedly, the US Anti-Doping Agency decided that the player’s former club Dinamo Moscow is responsible for this situation, as the Russian team was giving meldonium to all of its players. Holt received meldonium before the Russian Cup in mid-December.
We all remember the case of Aleksander Markin, who was later released of all charges for doping by the FIVB.
Anyway, the most important thing is that Maxwell Holt will be able to play for the USA at the Olympic Games 2016.
