1. Make sure you are wearing clothes which are comfortable to stretch in. There is nothing worse than being uncomfortable when you are trying to stretch.
2. Try to learn a bit about the stretch before you start or if at school listen very carefully to the instructions the teacher is giving. This will enable you to let your mind go elsewhere while knowing you know what the stretch consists of.
3. Think of something you really like or that is really distracting. It might be a boy/girl, an upcoming important event or something that happened ages ago that makes you smile.
4. Think of your upcoming math test, a popular song on the radio or a really good one is recite your times tables to yourself in your head.
5. Make sure it takes your mind off the stretch. You should find the stretching part of sport flies by.
