The seminar will be led by Sweden’s Tony Westman, a professional coach who has worked with top women’s and men’s clubs in Europe for 15 years as well as the last seven with Denmark women’s team.
The seminar is sponsored by NORCECA as part of its development program and has the approval of the FIVB Technical Department.
“We are continuing to expand the influence of the FIVB Development Centre in the Dominican Republic,” Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, FIVB 1st executive vice-president and NORCECA president said. “This is very important to increase the technical level of the national teams at different age groups.”
Nelson Ramirez, director of the Development Centre, expressed his satisfaction at the support from both NORCECA and the FIVB.
“This libero seminar marks the start of our 2012 activities,” Ramirez said.
“We appreciate the collaboration we are getting from the Trinidad and Tobago National Federation and its president Mushtaque Mohammed.”
