Cyprus strengthened its standing in European volleyball this weekend with an official visit from MEVZA President Valentina Bifflin and Director Frane Zanic, who highlighted the island’s impressive development in the sport.
The visit coincided with the Cyprus Super Cup Finals, where Pafiakos Pafos captured the men’s title after a 3–1 victory over Anorthosis Famagusta at Afrodite Hall, marking their fifth Super Cup win since 1992.
During the Cyprus Volleyball Federation’s General Assembly, the MEVZA officials commended the federation’s steady progress and growing international presence. CVF President Dr. Costas Constantinou welcomed the guests and presented them with special commemorative plaques for their support and partnership.
In the women’s final held at Lefkotheo Hall, Olympiada Neapolis continued their dominance by sweeping Apollon Limassol in straight sets, celebrating their fourth consecutive Super Cup triumph.
“Cyprus continues to impress with its dedication and progress in volleyball,” said MEVZA President Valentina Bifflin.
