A 30-year-old receiver Rodrigo Quiroga has signed a one-year contract with Jastrzębski and will play in Poland for the first time in his professional career.
Quiroga collected 175 senior caps for Argentina, being their captain from 2009 to 2012. With his national team, he has won South American Championship four times and Pan American Games once.
Twice he was voted the Best Outside Hitter of the South American Championship and once in the South American Club Championship.
Quiroga comes from a volleyball family. He is the nephew of a former Argentine NT member Raúl Quiroga, the bronze medalist in the 1988 Seoul Olympics. His brother Gonzalo is also a volleyball player and, just like Rodrigo, will play PlusLiga next season, but in GKS Katowice.
Quiroga came to Jastrzębski from Al Nasr Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
