Hiroyuki Kokubun, the chairman of the Japanese Volleyball League organization (V.League), held an online press conference, explaining the outline of the 2022-23 season and efforts to prevent unauthorized videos and images from being posted.

Photos and videos of female players taken from angles that allude to sexual intentions at the league venues continued to be posted on the Internet and social media, and it has become a big problem. As a countermeasure, V.League will continue to produce a video alert and make announcements at the match venue. Also, as of the upcoming season, the women’s teams are instructed not to warm up and stretch before and after games in areas where there are spectators. If sexually explicit photos or videos are found posted on social media, they’ll be reported and deleted one by one, and the V.League won’t hesitate to take legal action against those who publish them.

In addition, the summary of the next season has also been announced. The 2022-23 Men’s V.League regular season will be held from October 22 to March 26, and the 2022-23 Women’s V.League regular season will be held from October 29 to March 26. Both men and women will start the playoffs on April 8.
