The pulsating semifinal clashes of the Women’s CEV Volleyball European Golden League have drawn to a close, and we finally know who this year’s finalists are. Putting up commendable performances, the national teams of Ukraine and Sweden have successfully secured their spots for the grand finale.
In a riveting semifinal match, Ukraine demonstrated their prowess by overcoming the Czech Republic with a score of 3-1 (22-15, 25-11, 25-22, 25-16). Not to be outdone, Sweden showed their mettle, defeating Belgium with a clean sweep of 3-0 (25-20, 28-26, 25-17).
These victories come on the back of equally exciting first leg of the semifinals. In the matches played a few days ago, Sweden pulled off a close victory over Belgium with a scoreline of 3-2, while Ukraine displayed a dominant performance, besting the Czech Republic 3-0.
All eyes are now on the much-anticipated finals. The first showdown between the national teams of Ukraine and Sweden will take place on Thursday, the 6th of July. The second, and decisive match, is scheduled for the 9th of July. Volleyball enthusiasts can catch all the live action on EuroVolley.TV.
