CEV CL M: Olympiacos Advances to Champions League Group Stage After Victory Over Brașov

Olympiacos secured their place in the Champions League group stage with a 3-0 (25-23, 30-28, 25-23) win against Romanian side Brașov. Despite some tense moments in the second set, where Brașov almost leveled the score, the Greek team held firm and clinched victory. The second set saw Olympiacos narrowly escape after Brașov saved several set points, but key blocks (5 blocks total) from Mitar Djurić (Tzourits) sealed a 30-28 win. Match top scorer was Aleksandar Atanasijević with 21 points (48% attack, 1 block and 5 aces).

Olympiacos is now set to face tough competition in Group B, including Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe, Germany’s Gießen, and Italy’s Vero Volley Monza, their first opponent on November 14th.
