The French volleyball powerhouse Chaumont Volley-Ball 52 Haute-Marne, last season’s runners-up, recently announced their latest acquisition – the Croatian outside hitter, Filip Šestan. Šestan, a notable mainstay in the Croatian national team’s primary lineup, is set to join the French team in the forthcoming season.
Šestan spent his last season with Slovenia’s champion team, ACH Volley Ljubljana, contributing significantly to their triumphs in the Slovenian Championship, Slovenian Cup, and MEVZA League. He also participated in the group phase of the highly competitive CEV Champions League.
Before his time in Slovenia, Šestan played in Italy for Kioene Padova, in Romania for SCM Craiova and Arcada Galati, and contributed to Croatian clubs OK Zadar and OK Mladost Ribola Kastela.
His recent achievement with the Croatian national team includes winning third place in the CEV European Golden League. Currently, Sestan is dedicating his time and effort preparing for the imminent European Championship.
