Slovenian volleyball champions ACH Volley Ljubljana have made a significant addition to their roster, signing legendary Finnish setter Mikko Esko. The 46-year-old brings over 20 years of experience from top European leagues, having played in Germany, Belgium, Italy, Russia, Turkey, and Finland.
Esko’s arrival aims to strengthen the team as they prepare for the 2024/2025 CEV Champions League, where they’ll face VC Greenyard Maaseik, Berlin Recycling Volleys, and PGE Projekt Warszawa. ACH Volley coach Matjaž Hafner praised Esko’s experience, expecting him to elevate the team’s performance, especially in European competitions.
In their latest match, ACH Volley dominated Panvita Pomgrad with a 3-0 victory (25-13, 25-18, 25-20), securing their third consecutive win of the season.
