The top-seed Sarmayeh Bank prevailed in a highly intense Game 1 of the 2017/18 playoff finals against No.7 Khatam Ardakan, which lasted more than two hours.
Seyed Mousavi, Shahram Mahmoudi, the Pole Łukasz Żygadło & Co. came back from 1-2 in sets, winning partially by a 25-19, 24-26, 25-27, 25-15, 15-11. Including the regular season, this was the third win of Sarmayeh over Ardakan this season.
Since the first game of the series was held at Sarmayeh’s home court in Tehran, Ardakan will be the host in the rematch. In case of a tie, a decisive Game 3 will be played in the Iranian capital.
