After hiring Italian Travica, Nazari, Mirzajanpour and Serbian-Italian coach Travica and extending with Rezaei and Nejad, Urmia signed with Finnish international Olli-Pekka Ojansivu, Morteza Sharifi, Parviz Pezeshki and sealed new deal with Abdolreza Alizadeh!

Ojansivu, also known by the nickname ’Lelu’, is probably the most famous Finnish volleyball player at the moment. He is performing as receiver/outside hitter and has signed a contract with Urmia for one year. Last season he took Finnish championship title with Kokkolan Tiikerit, having huge international experience in Greece, France, Turkey, Romania and Russia.

Sharifi, a 17-year-old player of Iran’s U19 National Team, signed a three year contract, coming from Division 2 team Shahrdari Bojnord.

Pezeshki sealed a one-year deal and is projected to be the second setter, a replacement for Travica. He arrived from Matin Varamin.

Alizadeh, the former libero of the best Iran’s National Team, reached an agreement with Urmia’s board to stay for another season.
