A.S. Volley Lube announced that their middle blocker, Simone Anzani, underwent a successful ablation procedure at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan. The surgery was performed by Professor Paolo Della Bella and Dr. Caterina Bisceglia.
Anzani is reportedly in good condition and his recovery is progressing well. His discharge from the hospital is anticipated in the coming hours. The athlete is also scheduled for a fitness test in the following weeks to assess his readiness to return to the game.
