Ivan – Miljkovic
– At the moment, my priorities are some private things, which I put above the actions in the national team. By this, I do not refer only to the World League and the Qualifications for the Olympic Games in London. This is definitively the end. The last game that I played and the last point that I won playing for the national team was in the World Cup in Japan against the Americans.
The first look at the list of the candidates for the qualifying tournament in Bulgaria and the World League, gives “reserve” that the best player of the last European Championship in Vienna, could change his decision and show up in the Olympic tournament in the capital city of England.
– That is not possible. It will be incorrect from my side that I take the place of some young player who will participate in two competitions and secure the qualification for London. This is my final decision.
Once he said that he would like to withdraw quietly, just like the way he came on the big scene. That was exactly how it happened. Unexpectedly, almost like “straight out of the nowhere” he announced that it is the end.
– That had to happen eventually and everybody knew that. I have always played the best I could for the national team and I know that nobody has to object to me anything. All that time of the competitions and medals was nice. Now is time to say goodbye.
Proudly, departs the last player from the golden generation and leaves in his “will” many things to the young players. One thing more for the end – Thank you and goodbye.

Few years more
It seems that Ivan Miljkovic was noticable from his first appearance on the court. His career in the club is not over yet. After Partizan, Lube, Roma, Olympiacos, now he makes happy the fans of Fenerbahce.
– A few years more and I will also end the career in the club. After that we will see.
