What is like to be back in Zurich after all these years?

“I fell like at home. I like everything about Zurich, the atmosphere, the city… Just everything.”

You spent the last two years in Omsk, how would you describe that period?

“It was difficult…”

Why? Was it because all of those payment problems we have all read about?

“Because it is Russia (smile). No, I received all the money, but the country is just huge and there are a lot of games, lot of travels… However, when I now look back at all of that, I had a nice time in Russia.”

Did you watch the recent Russian Cup final in which your Omichka played against Dinamo Krasnodar?

Of course I watched it and cheered for Omichka! I stayed in contact with girls and the coach too, because we are in very good relations.”

Just for the end, tell us what are your main goals with Volero in this season?

“We need to win the Club’s World Championship, and to advance to the Final Four of the CEV Champions League!”
