Turnarounds, turnarounds and again turnarounds. That is how we can describe you first set of this match. It was 8-10 for Galatasaray, then 12-11, 13-15, 15-17…20-20. And, after great block of Marcin Mozdzonek, Zaksa was leading again 22-21. Salah equalize on 22-22, and Emet gave new advantage for away team 22-23. But that is the number on which Galatasaray stayed. Zaksa took three points in a row, two thanks to great serves of Dominik Witczak. Polish opposite actually finished the set with an ace!
Witczak continued in second set where he has stopped in previous. His strong serves gave Zaksa 5-3 advantage, and with Dick Kooy on fire point difference was just getting bigger and bigger. On first TTO it was 8-5 for Polish side, on second 16-9! Galatasaray just managed to come to minus four (17-13, 19-15), but defeat was inevitable 25-18.
In third set teams were closer than ever. Neither team could make two point difference until Filiz made mistake, spiked the ball into out, and Zaksa was 14-12 ahead. Then Ferens used a counter attack for plus three 18-15… Polish side was heading towards a victory. Last chance for away team was at the result of 20-19 when they had a counterzttack. But Mozdzonek blocked that attempt and it was all over.
Best scorers of home team were Witczak with 12 points and Gladyr and Kooy who added 11. In Galatasaray Abdelhay made 13 points, while Tanik stopped at 9.
