The first of two games between two fierce rivals was really amazing. USA was leading 2-0, but Russia came back from that tough situation and almost won the match… Almost…
But, away squad just could not find a solution for “their” Matt Anderson. American, who plays for Russian Zenit, scored 34 points!
Thanks to his incredible play, USA kept maximum score and now has 7 points, while Russia has all three defeats so far with only two points! Not a score expected from a reigning champion.
Standings: USA 7 (3 games), Serbia 5 (2 games), Russia 2 (3 games), Bulgaria 1 (2 games).
