As his contract was extended with a 2+2 years option, he is supposed to coach also young talented girls that may enjoy a bright future also in the international arena.

Aleksandersen will work together with a group of 5 to 10 coaches who shall take care of the girls’ national team as well as of some more teams across the country.

This is a very ambitious project and I see a lot of potential for female Volleyball here in Finland” says Aleksandersen. “We have more girls than boys playing Volleyball and I think we can gradually improve to get to the top of the international elite as the men have been doing in the past years”.

“Finnish Volleyball players have got a very good working ethic and they always desire to learn more” he adds. “Even though we know that it takes time to get the results we all expect from this project we still hope that our national team will qualify for the final round of the next European Championship”.

Aleksandersen will be working in Finland for 7 to 10 days a month and stay there on a permanent basis during the season of the national teams.
