Let’s summarize your last season with Nilufer. You ended in the playoff quarterfinals, suffering two defeats against Eczacibasi. What are your impressions?

First of all, I think we built a good team with two good foreign players. And our team atmosphere was really good. During the season we had some ups and downs. We achieved our goal by having a chance to play the playoffs. Our goal was to have a chance for next year to play one Europe cup league. But we lost against Bursa B.Ş.B and we lost that chance. That’s why I am little upset. But in general, for me, it was a really good season as well for the team.“

Before joining Nilufer, you were a member of Vakifbank. How would you describe this season?

It was amazing to be a part of one of the best teams in the world! Although it was amazing to be there, I didn’t have a chance to play so much. The reason I am not staying in Vakıfbank longer is that I am young and I wanna play every game that I can. İt was a really good experience for me. First time in my career, as a team we won champions league and club world championship cup. Also, it was good to work with Giovanni Guidetti. I am so happy that I had a chance to be a part of Vakifbank.“

What are your goals in volleyball?

Of course my goal is to be the best I can in my all career. It doesn’t matter which club or which position I am in, I will always try to do my best.“

Where would you like to play next season?

There are really a lot of good proposals for me. I am evaluating them with my manager Tunc Afsar but I really had good communication with my coach Alper Hamurcu in Nilufer and I felt a lot of confidence with him. Clubs management was professional as well. I think I will make my decision towards Nilufer.“

If you were not a volleyball player, what would you be?

Definitely teacher. Because both of my parents are teachers. And also I like spending time with the kids, I love to play games with them… And I think that I have that passion to teach something to some kid,“ says Ozge Yurtdagulen at the end of the interview.
