In the big match, valid for the 16th round of the 2020/21 Brazilian Men’s Superliga Banco Do Brasil regular season, 4th-placed Minas beat 3rd-placed Vôlei Renata after two hours and 32 minutes of a play: 3-2 (23/25, 27/25, 28/26, 24/26 and 17/15).
The match was marked by a great performance of the Minas opposite hitter Yadrian Escobar. The Cuban ended the game with 37 points! Argentine Nicolás Lazo had 79 % reception (24 digs, 1 error, 63 % excellent). In the general classification, Minas slightly narrowed the gap in relation to Vôlei Renata to -8 but will have an exhausting job to overcome them.
