The business of the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) are under powerful magnifying glass. The reason is – financial fraud! Allegedly, some ex-Federation officials (including Marcos Antonio Pina Barbosa, Fabio Andre Dias Azevedo...) were earning a lot of money by using Brazilian Volleyball Federation as cover.

According to the espn.com.br, they were signing contracts between Federation and their own companies (marketing agencies, consulting firms…) for organizing big events in volleyball. There are some serious accusations, with huge amount of money involved, so the investigation has started. It seems that there will be more names to blame, as from group of ex-officials, as from the ones which are today in charge of Brazilian Volleyball.

Brazilian media connects this case to the one from 2008, when Ricardo Teixeira, President of Brazilian Football Federation, was accused of corruption.
