One of the best Brazilian male volleyball players at the moment, Maurício Souza, was excluded from the Fiat/Gerdau/Minas team for his inappropriate post on Instagram.

A couple of weeks ago, Maurício Souza, commented on his Instagram the revelation of DC Comics, the creators of Superman comic book, that son of Clark Kent will discover himself bisexual in upcoming sequels. The 33-year-old middle blocker wrote “So, it’s just a drawing, it’s no big deal. Come on, let’s go and see where we’re going to end up…“ next to the image of Superman’s son kissing a guy.

Pressured by their sponsors, who were not pleased with such a homophobic statement of the player, Minas officials met with Maurício Souza and informed him about his indefinite removal from the team. The Olympic Games winner in Rio also received a fine and was instructed to make an immediate public retraction of his position because the Belo Horizonte side “doesn’t accept and will not accept intolerant, racist, prejudiced, and homophobic manifestations, and that it will intensify internal campaigns in favor of diversity, respect, and unity, as they are important causes and in line with institutional values.“

He’s implying that homosexuality is somehow bad and that if we keep allowing it then bad things will happen.

And where is freedom of speech, and human rights? Oh yeah I forgot they don’t exist unless you’re in line with bullshit left-wing propaganda

I believe that ‘freedom of speech’ is different from ‘hate speech’. And you know/understand what he did write.
