Fiat/Gerdau/Minas closed Round 18’s match of the 2021/22 Brazilian Men’s Volleyball Championship against Sesi-SP with ease and exceeded 50 points in the competition.
Minas beat Sesi 3-0 in the big match of the 2021/22 Men’s Superliga. The Minas Gerais team, the leaders, played a smooth game and surpassed the 50-point mark in the competition. The winning side was led by Leandro Vissotto (19 points, including 6 blocks). Henrique Honorato made 76% reception (25 digs, 60% excellent). With the victory over 3rd-placed Sesi in which they had difficulties only in the first set, Minas continued in the leadership of the Superliga and are very close to winning the regular season. Their only rival for taking the top spot is Sada Cruzeiro. Sesi are no longer in contention after losing to Cruzeiro and Minas in less than a week.
As for Cruzeiro, they recorded the 9th successive win in the league and the 13th successive win in all competitions. Beating second-to-last Goiás Vôlei 3-1 left them at -5 in the charts in relation to Minas.
