The U.S. Women’s Volleyball National Team member Carli Lloyd will likely end up in Brazil for the rest of the 2017/18 season.

A 28-year-old setter, who had a misfortune that Fenerbahçe from Turkey decided to terminate the contract with her that was just signed this summer due to her injury, will most probably continue her career in the Brazilian Superliga.

After parting ways with ’Fener’, Lloyd was tied through media with the two Italian Serie A1 sides, Pomì Casalmaggiore and Liu Jo Nordmeccanica Modena. But as Casalmaggiore face problems inside the team and Modena signed her compatriot Symone Abbott from the NCAA Championship, Lloyd had to turn to some other option.

As nearly all volleyball related websites in Brazil published, Hinode Barueri agreed to terms with Lloyd for the second part of the season. Barueri already have on their roster several world-famous players who were without a contract for a long time for various reasons, like Jaqueline Carvalho and Katarzyna Skowrońska.

Recall that Lloyd was recently named the 2017 USA Volleyball Female Indoor Player of the Year.
