EUROVOLLEY 2019 M: Poland take the bronze medal, France stay empty handed

The World Champions Poland are finishing one more competition with a medal - Vital Heynen's side has defeated France to take the bronze at the men's European Championship.



Only in the first set the France played well, while in the second and the third set they couldn’t do anything to stop the Polish side. France had a better start of the game, leading 9-4.  but they didn’t manage to keep the pace as the Polish side capitalised the opponent’s mistakes to win this part of the match 26-24.

In the second and the third, Poland had a control of the game, keeping the rival on the distance all the time. Poland have earned the bronze medal, while Laurent Tillie’s side is staying empty handed.

It is the first medal for Wifredo Leon with Poland and his contribution was 18 points, while Michal Kubiak added 14. In France, Earvin Ngapeth ended the game with 18 points.

France – Poland 0-3 (24-26, 22-25, 21-25)

The gold medal match:

Serbia – Slovenia 17:30 CET
