Halkbank Ankara reclaimed their top position in Pool C with a win against Portugal’s Sport Lisboa e Benfica (25-17, 25-23, 25-16). The standout player of the match was Mert Matic, who was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) after scoring an impressive 11 points and achieving a perfect 100% attack rate. Nimir Abdel-Aziz also made a significant impact as the game’s top scorer, contributing 16 points with a 50% attack rate and two kill blocks. Benfica’s performance was highlighted by Thiago Oliveira, who was the only player from his team to reach double digits with 11 points, including a 41% attack rate and one kill block.
