CHALLENGE CUP W: Igor Gorgonzola Novara Secures Spot in European Final with Unbeaten Streak

Igor Gorgonzola Novara has made it to the final of a European Cup for the second time, repeating their 2019 victory in the CEV Champions League Volley Super Finals in Berlin. The team boasts a flawless streak of 13 wins across all rounds, including the WEVZA Cup and the CEV Challenge Cup. Under the guidance of Lorenzo Bernardi, they clinched their final spot by defeating Wiesbaden 1-3 in both matches of the semi-finals, setting up a final against Nantes. Bernardi praised the team’s effort and highlighted the upcoming challenge against the French league leaders. The final matches are scheduled for February 21st in Novara and February 28th in France. Meanwhile, VC Wiesbaden celebrated a historic third place in the competition.
