The Polish team showcased their dominance early on, securing wins in the first two sets and concluding with a hard-fought victory in the third. This win gives Resovia a substantial advantage heading into the rematch scheduled for March 19 in Rzeszów.
Despite the absence of Stephen Boyer, Asseco Resovia’s performance was undeterred. Torey DeFalco led the scoring with 16 points, followed by Jakub Kochanowski with 11, Jakub Bucki with 10, and Karol Kłos with 9. On the opposing side, Erik Rohrs was SVG Luneburg’s top scorer with 8 points.
Resovia outperformed Luneburg across the board, achieving higher attack efficiency (53% compared to Luneburg’s 41%), more effective blocking (9 blocks, with Kochanowski contributing 6 points), superior serving (6 aces, 5 from DeFalco), and fewer errors.
