“We had a good period of preparation in Slovenia and Italy, where we played several friendly games. These days we are at home and preparing for the big tournament. Our advantage is that we have tall players in the lineup so we can attack and block. The main thing is that we will play the European Championship matches on the home soil and I believe if we have a good support from our people then we will achieve something good. Our plan is to fight for the medal but first, we need to play good in the group. We don’t have the weak opponents. We have been prepare for this event for a long time and this competition is very important for us” said Rahimova.
Azerbaijan are in Pool A with Poland, Germany, and Hungary.

Well, she is the only player that really counts in that NT. Without her, Azerbaijan wouldn’t even count in European volleyball.
