As it seems at the moment, Narbonne won’t play the next French Men’s Volleyball Championship.
Narbonne had its approval to play in Ligue A next season withdrawn and were downgraded to the third level of the French professional volleyball club competition – Elite. This is how it’s going to be until the reigning CEV Challenge Cup winners present their final accounts. This is the decision of the National Directorate of Assistance and Management Control (DNACG – the organization responsible for ensuring the control of the administrative, financial, and legal management of the clubs competing in the French professional sport), made through its Commission for Assistance and Control of Professional Clubs (CACCP).
The club will have the right to appeal to the Appeal Committee (governed by the French Volleyball Federation – FFV). Narbonne officials stated they will be ready to present the new club structure and the sustainability of the association in time for the appeal, which will be at the end of July.
