Laurent Tillie, the head coach of France, was very worried after the first game against Japan. The reason was the injury of Kevin Le Roux who had to leave the match in the second set due to knee injury.

It was speculated that the excellent player would miss the second game, however he was standing among substitutions… All the way until the fourth set when he entered the court to help his teammates! Kevin Le Roux showed that the injury was not serious, while home crowd certainly felt relieved.
