He is very quick and agile, and very communicative“, concluded coach Michael Mücke his observations. “We decided to bring him because he’s a good player – among the best players for Canada in the World League”.

Ciaran McGovern is 1.85 meters tall and 23 years old. Because of his Irish ancestry, he has an EU passport. Last year, he managed to jump in the Canadian A-selection. “Blair has told me many good things about Düren. This has reinforced my interest in moving to Germany“, said McGovern.

McGovern recently played at Go Volley in Slovenia and was the best player in the league. Previously, he was a member of the high school team Calgary Dinos and for two years a member of the Canadian B-selection.
