GER M: Strong start in Bundesliga by vice-champion VfB Friedrichshafen

The first round of the German Bundesliga has completed. The most uncertain match was between CV Mitteldeutschland and TV Rottenburg in “Jahrhunderthalle Spergau” hall.

Although that the away side had a lead 2:0, Mitteldeutschland succeeded to turn the score on its side and won the game.

“We won one points today, but lost two” said TV Rottenburg’s manager Jörg Papenheim. The top scorers in home side were Ehrhardt 16, Hooi 16, Halanda 11, Trenkler 11 while on the other side Metzger had 23, Bahlburg 20, Isaak 12, Nagel 9.

The defending champion Berlin Recycling Volleys started a new season of Bundesliga with 3:1 win over Generali Haching. The best scorers were Kromm 22, Carroll 20, Touzinsky 12, Fischer 9, Kmet 8, while in away side Hirsch and Gommans finished both with 13, Schwarz 10, Marcus Bohme 8.

Vice-champion VfB Friedrichshafen opened new season with strongly win at home against VC Dresden. Ventceslav Simeonov  led home team with 19, Gunthor and Geiler finished with 9. On away side Mollers had 6 and Grudsinski finished with 5 points.
