It’s been two days since the 2015 FIVB World Grand Prix game between the hosts Brazil and Germany (3-0), but the visiting team can’t stop thinking on the referee’s decisions.

„I’m very disappointed because of the injustice in Brazil. The referees twice had the wrong decision at our expense. Of course, you never know how would match roll afterwards, but I’m convinced that without these mistakes, we would have a good chance of winning,“ assessed after the match German player Margareta Kozuch.

„It’s true that sometimes you are not able to do anything against the odds,“ Luciano Pedullà, Italian coach of the German national team, refused to give a wide comment on the work of the referees.

Germans are complaining on two moments as sportowefakty.pl analized.

The first one took place in the first set at 20:17 for the visitors. Germany asked for a video check on which it was visible that the ball rubbed against Carolina da Silva’s hands after Kozuch’s spike, but Puerto Rican referee Josmer Pérez awarded the point to Brazil.

Even greater mistake occurred in the third set with the result 21:17 for Brazil. The referee gave the point to Germany due to an error from Danielle Lins, but the scoreboard showed 22:17! German staff reported it to the statisticians, but their remark was not noticed in the heat of the battle.

After the meeting the representatives the German national team submitted a formal protest to the match protocol. Despite the rapid response of the competition commissioner, the decision was not to consider the complaints of European vice-champions.
