GER M: Canadian power in attack, Brazilian wall on the net – Tirol level quarterfinals vs. Düren at 1-1

No.5 Hypo Tirol AlpenVolleys Haching extended the 2017/18 German men’s volleyball championship 1. Bundesliga playoff quarterfinals against No.4 SWD powervolleys Düren.

The Bundesliga newcomers Tirol, tied the series of the 2017/18 Bundesliga quarterfinals against Düren at 1-1 as they prevailed in Game 2 in four sets, partially 25-12, 25-18, 25-27, 25-19.

The Canadian Rudy Pieter Verhoeff had a one-man show in the attack on the winning side as he poured in 33 points (4 kill blocks). The Brazilian Pedro Frances made 8 kill blocks, while his compatriot Douglas Souza recorded 80% hitting (8/10).

Marvin Prolingheuer scored 17 points for Düren, while Slovakian Július Firkaľ added 5 kill blocks.
