Coach Ruben Wolochin used his new players, Lohrisch and Lagzdins, who helped the defense by adding more stability and lively attack. The setters Jacobsen and Cubrilo distributed the ball well and kept the younger players in check.
Despite the long journey to Berlin, TV Ingersoll Buhl seemed tired only at the beginning of the game. They showed great strenght and got the points.
