Will Italy be the new home of the Men’s Club World Championship? For now, there’s no confirmation of this rumor that appeared in the media in this country. The news is based on the fact that China’s authorities recently declared this Asian nation won’t be hosting international sporting events throughout 2020, which includes the Men’s Club World Championship.

Italian media reported that the candidate cities to host the new edition of the event organized by the FIVB are Civitanova and Pesaro. They say that Italy has the most chances to replace China due to the fact that the two reigning champions of the tournament are from this country: Cucine Lube Civitanova for men and Imoco Volley Conegliano for women.

Additional information said that Itas Trentino will likely receive a wild card.
