It’s fundamental right in the wall that KGS Robursport makes the difference (7.15). Urbino also had lame performance of its main attackers: Lise Van Hecke scored only 12 points with 28%, Valdone Petrauskaite made 11 with similar percentages.
In the first set crucial was Gibbemeyer, signing the last three points. Chateau lead, 8-2 then 16-8. The guests closed the difference, but the ace of Van Hecke (21-15) extedned the lead. Monica De Gennaro pulls on everything from 24-21 for Pesaro, puts five consecutive points and ace of Tirozzi sculpt an incredible 26-24.
Under 0-2, Urbino didn’t lose hope to reopen the game and with the verve of Crisanti and Alice Santini held their nerve in the third set. From hands-out Petrauskaite (19-17), Chateau did not turn back and extended the contention. In the fourth, however, KGS elevates its performance: the super defense by Muresan gained the lead 8-4, attacks by Moreno Pino passed over, in the middle and on the sides of the wall further widen the gap.
