Do you remember the "Diario Azzurro" (Blue Diary)? Four episodes published in the early days of the tournament in Montreux by four blue enthusiastics from the team of Marco Mencarelli? There was enthusiasm, it was broadcasted throughout the participation of those who live the “azzurri” and gave the experience as a fairy tale.

There was enthusiasm, it was broadcasted throughout the participation of those who live the “azzurri” and gave the experience as a fairy tale.

It was a project to communicate with all the readers, the volleyball players, about the value of work and get to those goals of the “azzurri”, to convey the atmosphere of those who live in the summer blue dream.

It was a way to help lift our movement from the swamp of silence where volleyball is inclined to be, starting right from the top.

It does not do anything, as you may have already seen since June 1, when a blue one from Montreux told us he had been forced to “suspend the diary” without, of course, that none from the Italian Federation have informed us about this decision.

For our part followed the requests for clarification from the Federation (we addressed to the President Magri, the vice Presidents Cattaneo and Manfredi, the Secretary-General Rabiti), and today – via an email signed “Press Fipav“, we got:

As it has already been said by The Marco Trozzi, on the occasion of your meeting in Piacenza in Bovo Day, the decision to indicate some general guidelines for behavior of media and social networks does not apply in the most absolute way to your initiatives directly tested.

It is a decision which, as you can see in the attached letter, has been taken to avoid the proliferation of unpleasant situations that arise spontaneously from the memebers of the national teams, who must observe the Code of Conduct issued by the National Olympic Committee of Sports.

This circular (dated May 30 only!)

We can not help but note that

1. The Federation did not intend to inform us about the decision directly.

2. The date of the circular is the first posthumous release of “Diario Azzurro” … (May 30, …).

3. The Fipav did not take, even considered, this hypothesis, but then writes that athletes can keep journals, take pictures and video, but their spread is only possible with the approval of the official press … So what?

4. A year ago Fipav relaunched the issues of the Travica’s blogs

5. Berruto will be allowed to write his blog?
