Serbian and Italian players visit Children’s Village in Sremska Kamenica

The complete senor men’s teams of Serbia and Italy visited on Saturday the “Children’s Village” in Sremska Kamenica, a foster home for orphans, before the first match of the FIVB 2013 World League.

Serbia and Italy in the Children’s Village

The kids and the guests were greeted by Mrs. Milena Vasic Stupar, director of the “Children’s Village”, Mr. Milos Vucevic, Lord Mayor of Novi Sad, and Mr. Slobodan Milosevic, Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia. The “Children’s Village” was visited also by Mr. Predrag Svilar, member of the City Council in charge for youth and sports, and the FIVB officials attending the World League matches starring Serbia and Italy, namely Mr. Klaus Fezer (GER), FIVB Supervisor, referees Gennadiy Kondakov of Ukraine, Martin Hudik of the Czech Republic and Andjelko Popovic from Serbia, FIVB TV Coordinator Neil Bouker of Great Britain, and FIVB TV Commentator Phil Bush from the USA.

Milena Vasic Stupar, director of the “Children’s Village”: “Today is a great day for our children. They are always happy to receive guests, and especially now when all these Volleyball stars came to us. So, the kids were rushing to take pictures with them and it was very nice. We made them very happy”

After a warm welcome, the players gave away presents to the children, uniforms and volleyballs, among other things.
