ITA W: Chieri’s appeal rejected, no Serie A1 for Torino club

The Federal Appeal Committee has published reasons in relation to the decision to dismiss the Chieri Volley Torino from participating is Serie A1 in 2013-2014 season.

By a note dated from 15 July 2013, the Board of Directors of the Women’s Volleyball League, having regarded the list of clubs with the necessary requirements for participating in the Women’s Volleyball Championship of Serie A1 and A2 for the 2013/14 season, submitted exclusion of Chieri Volley Torino for the following reasons:

– Failure to submit the payment of the registration fee for the Championship,

– Failure to deposit the financial guarantee required,

– Failure to deposit clearances or other documentation showing payment of not less than 100% of the amount for the 2012/13 season for the members that are part of the first team squad: Immacolata Sirressi, Alessia Gennari, Laura Frigo, Martina Guiggi and Francesca Piccinini,

– The existence of debts owed to the company Volley Bergamo and the Consortium of Female Volleyball League.

The Judge of the League, called to rule on the application proposed by Chieri, confirmed the sanction of exclusion.
