No.3 Itas Trentino stepped to the playoff finals of the 2021/22 SuperLega Credem Banca with one foot – No.2 Cucine Lube Civitanova are, on the other hand, one step away from elimination. Angelo Lorenzetti’s team repeated a grand display from Game 1 of the semis and won again 3-0, playing convincing and effective volleyball. The titleholders, once again without Osmany Juantorena, were powerless in front of the opposing players who played with heart. The 2-game advantage of Trentino puts Lube in a truly enviable situation in the race to qualify for the final.
Bulgarian Matey Kaziyski and Daniele Lavia scored 12 points apiece on the winning side, while Serbian Marko Podraščanin made 4 blocks.
