Eighteen rounds of the 2022–23 SuperLega Credem Banca are done, and Perugia are still undefeated.

Not even the fact their rivals secured No. 1 in the regular season two rounds ago didn’t help Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza to get hold of the victory in the big match of Round 18. Perugia lost the first hard-fought set full of score reversals, then took over the game and while leaving León and Colaci on the bench for the whole match by Anastasi, conquered yet another victory (the 18th in the championship, the 31st overall, with not a single defeat).

On an individual level, the Ukrainian Oleh Plotnytskyi stood out in Perugia with 16 points. As for the fifth-placed Piacenza, the positive note is that after more than a month, Lucarelli was also seen again on the court, even though only used in serving and on the second line. Cuban Robertlandy Simón was the top scorer on the losing side with 15 points (four aces).
