The Championship Final Series proved to be a titanic clash between the Panthers of Conegliano and Vero Volley Milan. Battling in the electric atmosphere of Palaverde, the series reached an exciting equilibrium after the first four challenges resulted in a 2-2 draw. However, in Game 5, the Panthers rallied to a 3-1 victory, overcoming a determined Milan team.

The hero of the hour was Alexa Gray. The Canadian player, displaying her best form of the season, perhaps her career, was an unstoppable force from the moment she stepped onto the field. Scoring 25 points with an outstanding 68% average, Gray was instrumental in turning the tide in Conegliano’s favor, leading them from a deficit to a triumphant comeback.

The performance of Conegliano, brilliantly dominant in attack and careful in defense, highlighted the tactical prowess of coach Santarelli, who deployed Gray as a game-changer, disrupting Milan’s previously effective defense.

Despite Milan’s valiant effort, led by a remarkable 32-point performance from Thompson and a solid defensive showing from Larson, the Panthers, led by captain Joanna Wolosz, ultimately emerged victorious. Celebrating their triumph, they proudly raised their 78th title as Champions of Italy.
