LIVORNO, October 28 – Despite a strong second set by Allianz Vero Volley Milano, Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano triumphed in a thrilling match at the Modigliani Forum, securing their seventh Italian Super Cup title. The final score was 3-1 (26-24, 21-25, 25-23, 25-20).
The game began with Milano’s Paola Egonu delivering a powerful spike, setting the tone for a contest of frequent lead changes. However, consistent efforts from Conegliano, especially during crucial moments, allowed them to regain the lead and close out the sets.
Standout performances were numerous. Joanna Wolosz of Imoco Conegliano was named MVP of the match, and Isabelle Haak was the match top scorer with 25 points. Meanwhile, Paola Egonu was Milano’s top performer with 21 points, followed by Dana Rettke who added 11 points.
