In an early match for the 5th round of SuperLega Credem Banca, Mint Vero Volley Monza clinched a four-set triumph against Rana Verona, with a final scoreboard of 3-1. The match, brought forward due to venue availability issues, saw Monza showcasing their prowess right from the outset, capturing the first set despite Verona’s robust net play.

The subsequent set saw Verona’s resurgence, tying the match thanks to an impressive debut by Sani, who scored 18 points. However, Monza, under Coach Eccheli’s guidance, overcame a six-point deficit in the third set to reclaim the lead. The fourth set continued the trend of closely contested rallies, but Monza managed to keep the upper hand, securing the win.

Ran Takahashi emerged as the Most Valuable Player with an exceptional 21-point contribution to Monza’s success. The teams will reconvene for the 4th round of the season on November 11th and 12th, while the rest of the 5th round is set for November 15th.

Despite the loss, Rana Verona’s coach Stoytchev commended the team’s effort and highlighted Sani’s remarkable performance. On the victors’ side, Gianluca Galassi emphasized the need for patience and seizing opportunities, acknowledging the struggle in the second and third sets but expressing the ambition to enhance their game further.
