After a month of rigorous training and two intense weekends competing in the Courmayeur Cup and SuperCoppa, Numia Vero Volley Milano is ready for action. This match will also be a rematch of the 2023/24 playoffs, where Milano triumphed over Pinerolo, securing a spot in the semifinals. The two teams will be battling for the first points of the season, with Milano leading their past encounters 6-0.

An exciting highlight of the match will be the face-off between two Olympic-level setters, Alessia Orro for Milano and Carlotta Cambi for Pinerolo, adding extra anticipation to the game.

Pinerolo’s Lineup

Wash4green Pinerolo returns with a largely unchanged roster this season. Cambi leads the team as setter, while Sorokaite, D’Odorico, and Bussoli bring strength to the outside hitting positions. Akrari, who now captains the squad, holds the middle along with Cosi. New faces include hitters Perinelli, Bracchi, Smarzek, and Reyes, alongside Olinga Andela at middle.

Milano’s Squad

Numia Vero Volley Milano’s roster includes a powerful lineup of hitters like Sylla, Egonu, and Cazaute, with Orro at the helm as setter. Middle blockers Danesi and Heyrman strengthen the defense, while libero Gelin ensures stability at the back.

Head coach Stefano Lavarini emphasized the importance of maintaining consistent performance throughout the game. “We’ve prepared well and are looking forward to starting the season strong. Pinerolo is always a tough team, and staying focused will be key,” he remarked ahead of the match.
