ITA W: Velasco Set to Lead Italian Women’s National Team Until Los Angeles 2028

Julio Velasco has confirmed his intention to continue as the head coach of the Italian women’s national volleyball team through to the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028. Speaking at the “Premio Mecenate dello Sport” event, Velasco emphasized the importance of moving forward after the team’s gold medal win in Paris. Both Velasco and Italian Volleyball Federation President Giuseppe Manfredi expressed confidence in reaching an agreement to extend his tenure. CONI President Giovanni Malagò also voiced his support for the continued collaboration between Velasco and Manfredi until 2028.
